Genesis 4:9 “Then the Lord said to Cain, ‘Where is Abel, your brother?’ And Cain said, ‘I do not know.’ Am I my brother’s keeper?’” The rabbis say that when Cain insisted that he wasn’t Abel’s keeper, he was apologizing to God for not knowing that killing his brother was weakening the influence of God in this world. Rabbis explain that human beings are an extension of God in time and space. We are misaligned with God if we behave as if He were a stranger to us. God is, God Was and God Will Always Be.
We must always be careful to love one another unconditionally. We must always protect our relationship with God and one another. God’s love is the greatest expression of Being in the universe. Let us thank God by being good influences and showing His love to others so that. His name is glorified.
