Romans 10:17-“So faith comes from what is heard, and what is heard comes through the message about Christ.” When we enter the sanctuary, we should do so with all thanksgiving and praise. After all, we live in a country where religious freedom is guaranteed by our Constitution. When we hear the Word proclaimed, sing holy songs, and pray for one another, we are engaged in religious freedom. It is not something we should take for granted. For centuries, men and women have fought and died for our freedom to gather and worship God and to engage in kingdom work to benefit other people and to praise His holiness. We give honor and glory to a mighty God, a holy God, our Creator and our Redeemer. There are so many people who come here for the freedom of religion that we have and appreciate. Our ability to talk about Jesus and what he has done for us is a holy privilege. Let us remember in our prayers to thank God for living in a country that allows us to worship as we desire. God is good and His love is eternal and his faithfulness endures to all generations, so Psalm 100:4-5 tells us. May we serve Him in the same way that He is faithful to us; may we give glory and honor to Him freely and sincerely.
